These Terms & Conditions govern the use of our website, products, and services. By placing an order with Honey Bee Baker, you agree to be bound by the terms below.

2. Products & Orders

2.1 Product Types
We specialise in made-to-order baked goods including:

  • Pre-designed cakes
  • Cupcakes
  • Cheesecakes
  • Lunchbox cakes
  • Macarons
  • Brownies
  • Gourmet cookies

All items are prepared fresh and customised per order. Ready-made items are only available in-store or through specific promotions.

2.2 Ordering
Orders must be placed through our official website at www.honeybeebaker.co.za and paid for securely via PayFast or Yoco at checkout or in store. Orders are only confirmed once full payment is received.
We do not accept orders via WhatsApp, phone, or social media. All official order updates must be done via email to info@honeybeebaker.co.za.

3. Order Amendments, Cancellations & Refunds

3.1 Order Amendments
If you need to change your order:

  • Email us at info@honeybeebaker.co.za
  • Subject line must include your Order Number
  • Requests must be received in writing via email no later than 7 days before your collection/delivery date
  • Changes are subject to availability and a R50 admin fee
  • Payment must be made at least 72 hours before collection/delivery
  • No changes whatsoever can be made within 72h of collection/delivery

Changes are only processed once confirmed in writing and payment reflects in our account.

3.2 Cancellations & Date Changes
To cancel or change your date:

  • Email us at info@honeybeebaker.co.za with your Order Number
  • Cancellations with more than 7 days’ notice may choose:
    • 80% refund (less 20% fee and R50 admin fee)
    • Store credit (valid 60 days; for online orders only)
  • All cancellations incur a R50 admin fee
  • No cancellations accepted via WhatsApp, SMS, voice note, call or in-store
  • Cancellations within 7 days are not allowed as orders are already in production

Emergencies will be considered at our discretion subject to:
• Admin approval
• Production status
• Minimum R50 fee
• No refunds; possible credit as promo code (valid 60 days)
If your order has already been decorated, no changes or credits are possible.

We are a small team working with perishable, customised products. Thank you for understanding ❤

3.3 Refunds & Returns
Refunds will only be considered under these conditions:

  • You notify us at info@honeybeebaker.co.za within 24 hours of receiving your order
  • Include order number, photos, and detailed explanation
  • Refunds are at our discretion and based on product quality, not taste

Refunds will not be issued if:

  • Item was consumed or discarded (we may request a sample)
  • Issue is due to food colouring taste (e.g. dark colours)
  • Products were improperly stored
  • Damage occurred during third-party courier transport
  • Communication policy was not followed

Refunds are processed via EFT only. No cash refunds.

4. Collection & Delivery

4.1 Collection
Orders can be collected from: Stocks Centre, 5 Graham Road, Shere (Entrance on Silver Street)

Collection times:

  • Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 08:00 – 16:30
  • Wed: 08:00 – 15:30
  • Sat: 08:00 – 10:30
  • Closed Sundays & Public Holidays

Late arrivals may delay up to 3 days. If available, a R100 fee per 30 minutes applies (payable before collection). Transport must be suitable for cakes (flat, cool, and secure).

4.2 Delivery
We offer:

  • Local delivery via Delicate Couriers (Pretoria)
  • Nationwide delivery of cookies only via The Courier Guy

No international shipping. You are responsible for delivery address accuracy and ensuring someone is available to receive the order. Redelivery will be charged. We are not liable for damage due to storage or delay, especially in summer heat.

5. Allergies & Dietary Information
Although we offer gluten-free and nut-free options, our kitchen handles:

  • Nuts
  • Eggs
  • Dairy
  • Gluten
  • Soy

We cannot guarantee a fully allergen-free environment.

6. Photography & Marketing
By ordering from Honey Bee Baker, you allow us to photograph your order for marketing. Design interpretation may vary, and exact replication cannot be guaranteed.

7. Communication Policy
All changes or complaints must be submitted via email to info@honeybeebaker.co.za. We do not accept updates via:

  • WhatsApp
  • SMS
  • Phone calls
  • Verbal messages
  • Social media

WhatsApp is only for general enquiries. Order-related emails are answered within 48 business hours. We are not responsible for communications sent via other platforms.

8. Intellectual Property
All photos, designs, logos, and content are the property of Honey Bee Baker and may not be reused without written permission.

9. Privacy Policy
We collect personal data (name, email, phone, address) for order fulfilment and communication only. Data is used via third-party platforms (Mailchimp, WooCommerce, PayFast/Yoco) and will not be shared or sold. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

10. Limitation of Liability
Honey Bee Baker is not liable for:

  • Courier delays or missed collections
  • Undisclosed allergies
  • Events beyond our control (e.g. load shedding)
  • Damage after pickup or delivery

11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in South African courts.
